My name is Rajiv J. Root, and I am currently residing in Phoenix, AZ since March 2025. Prior moving to AZ, I used to live in upper state New York and grew up in Connecticut. Also, I attended the following colleges:

– Rochester Institute of Technology
– Northwestern CT Community College
I have spastic Cerebral Palsy which affects my muscles and they can tighten up especially on right arm as well. I am also profoundly deaf in both ears and currently wearing one left hearing aid. Because of Cerebral Palsy, I’m a quadriplegic, but I have some functions on left arm and I use my left foot to type/control my wheelchair. I’m currently an Information Technology Specialist II and independent contractor for a few companies remotely. My own business is currently in progress.
I used to represent people with developmental disabilities at Connecticut’s Council on Developmental Disabilities from September 2007 to May 2008!
I advocate for my rights and help people just like me. I traveled to Washington DC a few times. I attended disability conferences in Dallas and Chicago to advance my advocacy skills.
